Random pictures

No theme to this post....just random funny photos of the kids.

Here is a pic I captured of Collin. He had fallen asleep in the laundry basket. Don't worry....I did pick him up and put him in his bed after I took this picture. He just looked too uncomfortable.

Here's little Carter man showing off his newest accessories.....two front teeth! On another note, he has also started taking 2-3 steps at a time! He did this a lot yesterday. Just a matter of time before he is all over this place!

Wrestling with Daddy. Carter gets sooo excited about this. He will jump on top of Josh just like Collin tries to. He wants to be a big boy sooo bad! :-)

Party Animals!

Well, we set a new record for our family this weekend....attending 3 birthday parties in one day!....And we survived!! We had such a blast celebrating with family and friends.
We are so blessed to have such special people in our lives!

The first birthday party we attended was for little Will who turned 1! He is just a week and a half older than Carter. His party was a rock star theme and was sooo cute! Dave & Kate did a wonderful job with his party and the cute cakes. Here's Will getting ready to dig into his drum cake. The other big cake was shaped like an electric guitar....so cute!
Happy 1st Birthday Will!

The 3 of us were all pregnant at the same time. We had a belly picture taken before these 3 were born, and were finally able to get an after shot of these 3 cuties we were blessed with!
Carter & I, Sarah & Faith, Kate & Will

The next party we attended was for Collin's friend Perri who turned 3. Perri's mom, Amy, and I were pregnant at the same time with these two. They are quite the pair now. Perri had a fun party at Collin's favorite place, The Jump Zone!

Happy 3rd Birthday Perri!

The last party of the day was for my wonderful sis, Courtney, who turned the big 3-0! Knowing that I now have a sister who is 30 and that I am past that now makes me feel old! ha! We celebrating at Josh & Courtney's house with close friends and family. We had a great time and enjoyed some yummy food!
Happy 30th Birthday Courtney!

I made some cupcakes and oreo suckers to go along with the "30" theme.

I also decided to get a little crafty and made this banner and tissue paper pom poms for the festivities.

"Date Night" with Collin

One of Collin's birthday gifts from us was tickets to go see "Nickelodeon Live!" at the Walton Arts Center. So, this past Wednesday night Collin and I had a little date night. We had so much fun! Here's a little pictorial rundown of our night....

Here is a picture of us in the lobby of Josh's building before our big night. :-)

Josh gave Collin some money to buy us some ice cream after the show. Thanks daddy!

Enjoying our dinner at Chick-fil-a.....or as Collin calls it, "Chickel flay"

Here's Collin getting ready for the show to start. Can you tell he is excited?? He has been talking about going to this show for the longest time. We got to see Ni Hau Kai Lan, The Backyardigans, The Wonder Pets and Dora the Explorer. He loves all those cartoons, so was thrilled to get to see them. I think his favorite was Dora. As soon as we got there he was walking down the halls yelling, "Dora! Where are you?". The next morning he kept asking me if we could go see Dora again.

And finally, our special treat after the show....ice cream!
Thanks Collin for a wonderful night! I had so much fun with you and look forward to many more "date nights" with you before you get too old for it! Love you buddy!

Our weekend.....

We had a pretty busy weekend. Friday night, Josh's parents came over and we all went to The Jump Zone. Collin absolutely loves that place! The rest of us had fun too because the inflatables are big enough for adults to get on as well. It was fun watching my in-laws jumping around and going down the big slides. Unfortunately, I forgot to take my camera! (I know that's hard for you all to believe....ha!)

The next day we headed to Tayton's 3rd birthday party. Tayton's mom Beth did a great job of getting his party together. The theme was Thomas the Train. There was a bouncy house and trains and train tracks laid out on the floor for the kids to play with. Collin and Carter both had a great time!

The birthday boy Tayton

We also had a very crazy weather weekend.
Friday was beautiful and in the high 60's. We had a great day outside playing and enjoying the beautiful spring weather we have been looking sooo forward to.

Then, this morning, this is what we woke up to. 7 inches of snow! We even ended up getting a few more inches after I took this picture! So crazy. I'm really hoping this is the last snow of this season. Ready to get outside and play in the warm weather and wear capri's & flip flops!!

So how did we end the weekend since we were snowed in??

Enjoying movies.....or in Carter's case, sleep. :-)

and practicing up on our Light Saber skills!

Carter Evan-11 months

Our sweet little Carter turned 11 months old today! I can't believe that we will be celebrating his 1st birthday in a month! I'm looking forward to "going bananas" planning his monkey themed party. Carter is so much fun, and I love watching he and Collin play together. I just love little boys! Carter hasn't taken any steps yet, but he is standing on his own a lot now, so I think it will be very soon. He has added a new word to his vocabulary, "Bye, Bye" and will even wave. He is also getting his two top teeth in. The bottoms of them have just barely poked through. He loves pushing things around while he walks and also enjoys opening and closing doors. He has also found that getting in Lexi's kennel is pretty cool too.....until mommy catches him. He also loves to dance now and will begin his little shake whenever he hears music playing. He also likes to mimic sounds that Collin makes. Carter, we love you so much and can't believe how fast time is flying! Looking forward to your first birthday!

He woke up this morning with this wild mohawk hair. He probably will need to have the "1st haircut" before his birthday. :-)

Enjoying his mashed potatoes.

Collin's 3rd Birthday!

Three years ago, this sweet little guy entered our lives and changed us completely. He showed us how to love in a completely new way, and we have never been the same. Collin, you are such a joy to our lives. You are so smart and are the funniest little guy. We find new things to laugh about with you every day. We are so blessed to have you in our family and look forward to watching you grow. We love you buddy!

We celebrated Collin's birthday on Saturday here at the house. We are so blessed to have such wonderful friends that are willing to spend a crazy afternoon with a bunch of kids hopped up on sugar! ha! Collin got a lot of wonderful things and is having a blast with it all. Thank you!
One of his favorite things is Disney's "Cars" right now, so that was the theme of his party. I had so much fun planning it all! Here he is with the "3" t-shirt I made for him (I didn't actually make the shirt, just put the 3 on there) and holding up the number "3".

Here was the big set up. I made this cupcake tower to look like a highway with cars on it.

Here was the kiddos' table that I also made to look like a highway. I also made some chocolate covered oreo lollipops with the "3" on them. I found this really cute checkered flag ribbon to tie them together with, and they turned out really cute. I will definitely make these again for various occasions.

The drink station....a.k.a. The Pit Stop

One of Collin's requests was a pinata. This was a big hit! (no pun intended). :-) The kids just loved seeing candy falling from the sky. They were pretty hyper and super excited about it. Good call Collin. :-)Audrie and Collin enjoying their pinata candy.

Collin and all his buddies....Hudson, Daniel, Audrie, Mason, Faith, Carter & Perri. Thank you all for making Collin's day so special!

We got Collin a bike for his birthday. We hadn't ever said anything to him about it, but for the past week or so, he kept saying, "Mommy, I'm getting a bike for my birthday.". Sure glad we were planning on that anyways! He woke up this morning and we wheeled it out for him. He was so excited. He spent most of the afternoon outside riding it. He goes so fast I can barely keep up with him! We can't wait for warm weather to stick around for good!

We Love You Collin!

Fun with Friends & Family

We had a very busy weekend, but it seems that is becoming our new "normal".
Friday night we headed over to Jamie, Rachel & Audrie's for dinner. We went to high school with Jamie & Rachel, so it's always nice to hang out with them and catch up.
Jamie made some really yummy fajitas and the kiddos played. Before we got over there, Collin asked me if Audrie was going to have any trains and I told him probably not. She did have farm animals though and Elmo, so he was happy. :-) Isn't Audrie so cute with her pigtails? She is going to be a big sister in June to Annie and we can't wait to meet her! I'm so disappointed I didn't get a decent picture of the 3 kids, but they were way too busy, and I was enjoying chatting.
Thanks guys for a wonderful evening!

Carter was very interested in their cat, but the cat didn't feel the same affection....

Saturday, we headed over to Green Forest to Josh's parents' house. We had a nice time full of fun activities. Collin and Carter were excited to play with all the new toys Mimi and Papa had for them!

Collin wanted to get in a little wrestling with Carter......poor Carter.....

Carter all ready for bed.

Carter chilling out and enjoying some cheerios

Aunt Mary brought over a bag of candy treats for Collin, so he enjoyed that......so did mommy & daddy, but don't tell Collin!

Mimi & Collin also played "Don't Spill the Beans!". I'm 32 years old and this is the first time I had ever played this game....I know....pathetic. It was really fun and I enjoyed watching Collin get excited about it.

Well, off to start another busy week! My little guy Collin will turn 3 one week from today (the 28th), so I'm going to be busy getting his little party together this week for Saturday. Should be fun! I love to plan a party!
