Last Weekend-Noah Musical & Dad's Birthday

We had a busy weekend last weekend, but what else is new? It was great fun though. Friday, we went to Branson with Mimi and Papa and they treated us to go see Noah The Musical and then we went out to eat at Olive Garden. The boys did great during the musical....considering it was 2 1/2 hours long!! They sat there the whole time and never even cried at all! Now, I have to admit, we did have their mouths full of treats most of the time. ha! It was a really neat musical and they had some live animals as well, which Collin enjoyed. After the short intermission, we came back into the theater and they had it set up to where it was like you were inside the ark with all the animals surrounding us. It was pretty neat and the boys were in awe. Thanks Mimi and Papa for the great time!

Then we headed to the farm to help my dad celebrate his 70th Birthday!! That still seems weird to say, but yes, my dad turned 70 on the 26th. I'm probably in big trouble for putting his age on here. :-) We had rain showers on and off, but did find time to get outside and enjoy the sunshine when it was out. All the boys got their four wheeler rides in while we were there and Collin, of course, had to help Pa-pa on the tractor. Collin loves to tag along with Pa-pa on the farm. We had a great day celebrating dad's birthday.
Happy Birthday Dad & Pa-Pa! We love you!

Even Lexi got her farm "fix" for the weekend and got to pretend she was a real cow dog!

Cousins

Last Thursday, Courtney (my sis) and I took the boys to the park to try and get some pictures of the three of them together. Not an easy task. Here are a few I did get of our little munchkins. For those of you who live in NWA, these were taken at Bogle Park in Bentonville.

I Love Spring!

Today was a beautiful day here in Northwest Arkansas! So thankful that spring is here and that we are able to spend our days outdoors! Can I get an Amen??

Here is a picture of our azaleas. I have some pink ones that are about to bloom too.

Sweet Carter was being camera shy

Here he is on the move!

My Sweet Nephew Hudson

I was able to watch my sweet nephew Hudson the other day and was able to catch these adorable pictures of him. He's a pretty good model if I say so myself! Love you Hudson!

Love these sweet teeth!

Does he make these jeans look good or what?

Veggie Tales!

Today was Kids Day at our church, so they had Bob & Larry come from Veggie Tales. Collin was so excited about them coming. We've been talking about it all week and watching their videos. We got to church a little early this morning and were able to get some pics with them before the crowds got too crazy. Collin got so excited when he first saw them, but was then a little timid to get too close to them. After church, he wanted to go back and see them though. He came up to me and said, "I need to go give them a hug.". It was cute to watch his excitement.
Carter was super excited too! He was desperate to get down and go over to them. He wasn't afraid at all! He just kept laughing and pointing at them.

Carter Turns ONE!!

I can't believe a year has already come and gone! Our sweet little Carter turned 1 on April 7th. We celebrated with him the evening of his actual birthday and let him open our gifts to him and eat a cupcake. He absolutely loved the cupcake as you can see from the picture. This kid has a big mouth! I thought he was going to actually fit it all in! He gave it a good effort!

Here he is with his gifts from us. Collin wanted to buy Carter a gift just from him, so we went to Target. Before we even got there, Collin said he wanted to buy Carter a Grover. I told him I didn't think they had Grover there because I had only seen Elmo and Cookie Monster. Boy was I wrong. Collin was so excited when we found one and was even more excited for Carter to open the present from him. It was a Grover puppet, so we have all enjoyed and laughed our heads off at Collin's attempt at ventriloquism!

Saturday we had a small party for our family and some of Carter's friends. I always call Carter my Little Monkey because he is always attached to my hip. That being said, I decided that his party would be a monkey theme.
Here is the invite that my friend Katie at The Peekaboo Image created for me. She is so talented! Check out her site!
Here is the adorable cake courtesy of Shelby Lynn's Cake Shoppe in Springdale. I always use them for all my special occasions.

Carter's very own smash cake

I made this banner. It's hard to see, but I took a picture of each month of Carter and attached them to yellow, green and brown scrapbook papers. It turned out really cute and everyone enjoyed seeing how he had changed over the last year.

I used green crepe paper to look like vines and had monkeys hanging all over from the ceiling.

The birthday boy!

After attacking his cake.....looks like he's about to go into a sugar coma!

Carter's Friends

We love you Carter and look forward to watching you grow up! We are so blessed to have you in our family. We pray for God's protection over your life and that you grow up to be a great man of God. We Love You!!

Easter Weekend

First of all, sorry for the delay on this post. I have been super busy lately and finally got some time to blog while the boys are napping! Sure, there's laundry piled in baskets and dirty dishes in the sink, but I miss blogging, so I'm taking some "me" time to do this super quick. :-)

We went to our hometown of Green Forest over Easter weekend. We had a great time and it was so nice outside! I can't remember when we have had a more beautiful Easter weekend!
Saturday night, Josh and I went to our highschool Alumni Banquet. This was the first time since we graduated in 96' and 97' that we have gone to this. We had a great time visiting with everyone and walking around our old highschool. Here are a few snapshots I took...

This first pic of Josh and I was taken by my mom before we left for the Alumni banquet. It was funny to me because I felt like my mom was taking our picture before we were headed to prom or something.
The second picture is one I took while we were walking around the highschool building. It's my dad's senior picture.....pretty cute dad! :-)
The last picture is me and 3 of my classmates from the Class of 96'!

The boys coloring Easter Eggs with Me-Ma. They loved it and got super messy!

The boys hunting Easter eggs. Carter really caught on to it and loved throwing the eggs in the basket. All his ended up cracked needless to say. Collin had a blast, but kept getting mad at Lexi, the dog, for trying to eat the eggs.

Random pics: our Easter eggs, Carter hunting, the boys' filled baskets the Easter Bunny left them, and then my attempt at making my oreo pops Easter style. :-)

Sadly, this is the only family photo we were able to get on Easter. Should have taken it before church, but we weren't thinking. Carter is out like a light and Collin is being, well Collin....goofy.

Busy Little Carter

Hard to believe that this little guy will be a year old next week on the 7th! Time sure does fly. Here are some of the latest little things this guy is up to....

He loves making tunnels out of our dining room chairs so he can crawl and hide from us.

He loves trying to ride this 4-wheeler. He learned how to get on it all by himself this week.

What's this?? Is it really that bad here that you are trying to escape?
Yes, he figured out how to turn the ottoman over, pushed it over to the door and stood up on it thinking he would be able to open the door! Yikes!

And finally, here is a video Carter wanted me to share with all the ladies.....watch out!
