Funny Friday!

Only a couple of funnies for this week. :-)
***
Carter was in the car saying, "Fart Tart, Fart Tart, Fart Tart!!".  I immediately said, "Whoa, Mister!   We do not say that.  Those aren't nice words."  Carter was quick to reply, "Mom, that's not a bad word.  It's just how you say Pop Tart in Spanish."  Quick thinking Carter.....

Last night before bed, Collin said, "Hey Mom, remember when the only words I could write were 'pee' and 'poop'?  Well, now I can spell real words!"  I'm sure glad he's learning at school how to expand his vocabulary. :-)

Why is it that boys are SO obsessed with bodily functions?!? :-)

Collin's First Field Trip!

Collin had his first field trip to the Right Choices Pumpkin Patch/Corn Maze in Southwest City, MO on 10.11.12.  I was so happy to be able to chaperon the field trip so I could go with him.  He was so excited for me to go with him, which made this momma happy!  He said, "Mom!  You get to see what its like to ride a school bus!!"  So funny.  After about an hour ride on the bus, we finally made it.  One thing I came away with after this trip was a whole new appreciation for teachers AND bus drivers!  Holy cow.  Mrs. Loomis had several moms come along, so she was able to split her class up among the moms.  I had 3 boys with me, Collin, Dylan & Jacob.  They definitely kept me busy, but we had a great time.  We first went on a hay ride out to the Christmas tree farm and learned all about evergreens, conifers, etc.  Then we went back to the main farm where they had a corn maze, slides, a hay jump, basketball, a corn shooter, a giant inflatable trampoline and a cow train.  Collin said his favorite was the trampoline and cow train.  After playing, a picnic, more playing and then picking out a pumpkin, we headed back to Bentonville with a bus full of sleepy kiddos.....ok....and parents/teachers too.  Collin gave me permission to go on his next field trip, so I guess I didn't embarrass him too bad. :-)

Funny Friday!

Some funnies for today.....
***
I overheard Collin whispering to Carter one day in the car, "Carter, Power Rangers ARE real.  Everybody's wrong."

Over the last couple of months, the boys have really learned a lot about kidney stones since my dad has been having a horrible time with them (luckily that's over now. Praise the Lord!).  Anyways, one day Carter had an upset tummy and was in the bathroom (I promise isn't too much info) and he was sitting there saying, "Dad!  My belly hurts real bad!  I have kidney stones like Pa-Pa!  Mine are bigger though."  My parents got a real kick out of that one.  Carter is still convinced that he does in fact have kidney stones. :-)

Yesterday I went along with the kindergarten class on a field trip to the Right Choices Corn Maze/Pumpkin Patch in SW City, Missouri.  We had a great day and once we got home, Collin wasn't ready for our day to be over.  Daddy had Carter, so it was just Collin and I.  We headed to the Promenade to look for some stuff and as we are walking around I said, "Collin, where are we going on our date tonight?"  He looked at me and says, "MOM!  That's something you do with a girl!".  So, I said, "Well, do you know what you do on a date?  You have to buy the girl dinner.  Are you going to buy my dinner tonight?"  Collin-"No Mom!  You're the mom, you have to pay."  Me-"Well, Collin, do you know what's also nice to do for a girl on a date?".   Collin-"What?".  Me-"Girls always like to get flowers.  So, you get to pay for dinner and buy her some flowers too!".  Collin-"Oh, gosh!  I'm NEVER going to do that with MY money!  I don't ever want to go on a date mom." (I can't wait for him to read this in about 11 years!). :-)

Funny Friday!

A couple of funnies for this week.  Can't believe how cool it got today, but I love fall!  Looking forward to seeing everyone at our family reunion this weekend!
***
We were walking into the house one day and noticed two grasshoppers having a little "fun".  Carter says, "Hey mom!  Look at these two grasshoppers playing leapfrog!".  Yes, that's right Carter....that's exactly what they're doing. :-)
***
I overheard Collin and Carter talking one night and Collin says, "Carter, you know that funny looking guy on the dollar?  His name is "President of the United States".

We did have a few other funny moments this week, but they are not ones I can write about on here. ha!  Never a dull moment in our house! :-)
