Funny Friday!

Carter really loves super heroes.  He came up to Josh one day, holding up his hands, and says, "When are they going to come out?....When I turn 5??"  Josh finally realized he was talking about the Avenger, Wolverine, and he really thinks that he will eventually get Wolverine claws.

I was reading a book to the boys one afternoon.  Collin jumps up to go grab a snack and yells, "Mom, will you pause the book??".  :-)

Me-Ma came over the other day after an appointment.  That night, we went to Flying Fish to eat dinner and took Me-Ma to Frozen Tung for the first time before heading to the splash park.  On our drive to the splash park from Frozen Tung, my shaved ice started spilling out everywhere.  I got it all cleaned up as best I could and wouldn't you know it, it started spilling out again!  I was more than frustrated and let the word c.r.a.p. slip out of my mouth.  Carter was really quick to correct me and says, "Mom, that's a really bad word.....you know, when I was a little kid, I used to say a bad word too, 'darnit'."  We couldn't help but chuckle to ourselves because he was so serious.  Love him and his honesty (and accountablility). :-)

A New Hobby

Collin has taken up a new hobby/sport.....archery.  He loves it just like daddy.  Daddy took him to Academy today and got him all set up.  Carter got one too, but he got an Avengers Nerf bow and arrow set. :-)  Collin was hitting Josh's target really quick.  I even walked out once to catch him hitting the bullseye!  Way to go buddy!

4th of July

We had a great time celebrating the 4th of July!  We started our celebrating off on Sunday night at our church, Cross Church.  Every year they have Fireworks at the Crosses and its always a spectacular show set to music and very patriotic.  They do a wonderful job of remembering all those, past and present, who have served in our military.  It's a special night and we love being there for it.  We sat with our friends from our small group and all the kids had a great time running around, playing with bubbles and dancing.  The dancing had us all laughing so hard especially when Carter taught everyone how to do the "robot".  Oh my.  It was a fun night!  Mimi and Papa were even able to join us.  We grilled hamburgers and hotdogs before we went to the fireworks show at church.  An All American Day!

Josh kinda has a crazy look here. :-)

Aubrie and Carter are just ready for it all to start!

On the actual 4th of July, we celebrated at a cookout with our neighbors and had a great time hanging out and watching all the kiddos play.  There was so much food and fun for the kids.  They played tennis, played in the sprinkler and in the kiddie pool.
We then headed over to the Ferguson's for a party in the driveway.  The kids played in the sprinkler, threw water balloons, played basketball, rode bikes/scooters, and had a great time.  I think they were all wore out by the end of the night.  We also enjoyed some yummy homemade ice cream!  We had some small fireworks that we were able to do in the safety of the street due to a burn ban.  Just some fountains, smoke balls and sparklers this year.

Sweet friends.....Collin, Gabby, Aubrie & Carter (Lily and Peter didn't make it in this pic)

The Daddies provided the big finale entertainment....up first was Michael.....

Then Brett with sparklers in his mouth......

Then Josh doing some dance??...he ended up sticking the sparklers out of his flip flops and was then referred to as Sparkle Toes Siebert. :-)

Carter wore this most of the day.....May the 4th be with you..... :-)

Funny Friday!

I know it's been a long while since I posted, so here are a few funnies since the last time.

Collin made a comment about something and I said, "Collin, how did you know that??".  He said, "I'm smart.  You know, mom, there's only one person smarter than me....Pa-Pa."  uh-oh....my child has been brainwashed by my dad! :-)  ha!

I think the extreme heat must of got to Carter....swim trunks, buzz costume and halloween pumpkin....hmm...

Carter has always been obsessed with wearing these black snow boots.  Even in the summer time.  He came outside one night sporting them again, in 90 degree weather.  I refer to them as his "Napoleon Dynamite" boots. :-)

Last night, Carter walked in to show me this....
He asked Collin to draw a basketball court on his chest.  I should have taken the pen away because he later showed up with some abstract art on his arm as well. :-(
