Trick or Treat!!

We had so much fun with the boys this year.  The older they get, the better it is.  They were so excited about their costumes.  They each picked out their own this year.  Collin wanted to be Anakin Skywalker and Carter wanted to be Spiderman.  Carter especially liked the built in muscles in his costume.  It was so funny to watch him "strut his stuff" tonight.  He really thought he was something else!  They are so good about going up to the doors on their own and saying, "Trick or Treat!" and then always saying Thank you, of course. :-)  Carter was on a race to each front door.  He was pretty pumped about all the candy.

We went back to the house and handed out candy for a while as well.  Me-Ma, Pa-pa and Mimi all came over as well as Josh, Courtney, Hudson and Hayes.  We had some cheese dip, caramel apples and pumpkin spice whoopie pies (courtesy of Courtney) and ended the night with some hot spiced tea.  My perfect kind of Halloween evening!  Me-Ma and Pa-pa even surprised us by showing up in costumes.  It took the boys a little while to figure out who they were, but once Me-Ma started singing "The Hokey Pokey", they figured it out.  They did look pretty scary though. :-)

Funny Friday!

The other day I had to say to Collin, "Collin, PLEASE don't throw things across the room!"  Collin says, "Hey, that's what my teachers say at school."....uh oh....

We were on a walk the other day and saw a lady carrying a baby in front of her in one of those Baby Bjorn carriers.  Carter points, laughs and says, "Look at that baby in a suitcase!"

The other day while in the car, Collin and I were discussing the names of different baby animals...i.e....Cow=calf, pig=piglet, bear=cub, etc.  He mentioned one that I wasn't sure about (can't remember which one it was), and I said, "I'm not sure about that one Collin."  He quickly says, "Well, I bet God knows the names of all the baby animals because he has a really good mind like Pa-Pa does."

Josh watched the boys for me the other day while I was on a shopping trip with Kate.  He texts me this picture of the boys.  They were laying in the floor like this and Josh asked Collin what they were doing.  Collin says, "Uh, we are worm statues."  This kid comes up with the funniest things!

My Little Prayer Warrior

I just had to share this story about Collin because it blessed me so much and I know it will you too. :-)

Collin saw a video the other day of my friend Nancee's little boy Carter riding his bike without training wheels.  Ever since then, he has been inspired to learn how to do it.  He's actually really close, but with the cold/rainy weather, we haven't got to practice much.  The other day he was so frustrated because he couldn't go outside to practice.  I could hear him talking really quietly in the dining room and when I went in there to see what he was doing, I found him crouched in the corner of the dining room.  He was just sitting there praying to God.  I heard him say, "God, please dry up all the rain on the sidewalks so I can go learn how to ride my bike without training wheels.  Thank you for your blessings God.  I love you."

My heart was bursting with joy.  I walked quickly to the bathroom and started crying....happy tears.  So glad that my little guy knows to take his cares....all of them....to the Lord. :-)

Also, his teacher at school told me on Thursday that she just loves listening to Collin pray.  She said, "He just puts so much thought into it."  She said he was thanking God for having super powers like a super hero.  So cute.

I love you Collin, and I know the Lord loves to hear your sweet voice speak to him!

11 Years Ago Today......

11 years ago today, I was in Rome, Italy having dinner with a handsome young man at The Veranda Restaurant.  We were having one of the best dinners I can remember, and the pianist was playing a beautiful rendition of Bryan Adams' "Everything I Do".  This handsome young man asked me to close my eyes and began telling me so many wonderful things and why he loved me, and when I opened my eyes, there was a ring.  A complete, but wonderful surprise.  Of course, I said "Yes!" and the rest is history.....

Pumpkins!

We were finally able to take the boys to get some pumpkins tonight.  We haven't had a chance to go to an actual pumpkin patch, but there is a nice little place at the Methodist church by the square that we always go to....plus, the money goes to support their youth, so its for a great cause too.

The boys were soooo excited.  They ran around looking for just the right pumpkins.  Collin said he wanted a really big one and Carter said he wanted a "teeny tiny" one.  They both found just what the wanted and so did mommy and daddy.  I just love these moments.

Funny Friday!

I was lacking on "funnies" this week, so thought I would post this video of Carter doing the "Hokey Pokey".  Me-Ma taught him this last weekend. :-) 

Weekend fun

This past weekend we headed over to my parents to visit with our friend Mickey who comes to visit us every year from Little Rock.  We had a great visit with her and look forward to the next one!

Josh also brought the 4-wheeler over to my parents farm and we took off on a little excursion while the boys were napping with my parents on Sunday afternoon.  It was so beautiful outside and I have always loved fun excursions on the 4-wheeler.  

Collin adopted a pet calf over the weekend as well.  He felt so sorry for this calf that was in a pen all by itself at the farm.  He just spent so much time out there feeding her and talking to her.  It was so pitiful, but sweet all at the same time.  He decided to name her Clarabelle, after Aunt Courtney suggested it.  Later we found out that Aunt Courtney should have checked the gender of the calf before naming it because Clarabelle was actually a "He".  Collin was sad that we were going to make him change it's name, so we just decided to keep the name of Clarabelle for the little bull calf.....oh well.....

Fultz Family Reunion and an Elk sighting.....

October 8th was our annual Fultz Family reunion.  Daddy missed it this year because he was on his annual hunt trip with the guys.  We had a great time seeing everyone, as always.  Wish I would have been able to visit more, but it's hard with 2 kids to keep track of.  I feel bad that I didn't get hardly any pictures and most of the ones I did get, were blurry. 

My sweet nephew Hayes made his first appearance at the reunion.  He chilled out most of the day. :-)

Later that evening, me, the boys, Courtney, my cousin Kim, Aunt Linda, Uncle Bob, Aunt Brenda and my dad, drove down to Ponca to see if we could see any of the elk.  We did this last year too and it's so much fun.  We may make this an annual trip!  We saw several elk, not as many as last year, but I think we did see more wildlife than daddy saw at hunt camp all week! ha!

Collin is very good at his "elk call", so we let him indulge us with that. 

Carter just wanted to get his toy gun out and pretend to shoot them all....which he did, of course. :-)

Camping at The Buffalo

October 1st, we joined up with a group of friends to go camping down at the Buffalo River.  We camped out at Steel Creek, which we have done before, and had a great time.  The boys loved walking along the river and throwing rocks.  We had a great evening as well with great food and great conversation.  All the kiddos went to bed around 8:30, so we were actually able to sit around the campfire and hang out.  We called it a night around 10:00.  The campers next to us were up way late playing their guitar and I still have some of their songs going through my head (Eric Clapton's "Tears In Heaven").  It was a long, cold night, but it's always fun when you're with good friends.  We woke up, had a great breakfast and then headed home.   I was SO ready to get home, shower and sleep in my nice, warm bed.
