Random Pics

I wash washing Lexi's kennel cover one day and she insisted on laying in the frame of it anyways. :-)

Our big boy getting off the bus.

Carter watched Mimi & I soak our feet in water one day, so he had to do it too. :-)

We kept Hayes for a few hours one day last week and he had so much fun with us.  You couldn't wipe the smile off his face.  Love that boy!

Carter had to try on all his costumes for Hayes.  Hayes' expression to Darth Vader was priceless.  He looked at Carter like, "What in the world is this??"

Collin still really loves to shoot his bow.  He just keeps getting better and better!  Look at that shot!

Of course Carter had to try to steal the show.....

Collin wasn't amused.....

Party Weekend for Me-Ma & Collin

The weekend before school started (the 18th), I had planned a "Going to School" barbecue at the house to celebrate Collin.  I had also made it a surprise birthday party for my mom who turned 64 on the 20th.  She was really surprised.  I had helped my dad convert all her old 8 mm film reels into dvd.  She was so surprised and touched.  The videos go from 1964-1985.  It started with my mom's 16th birthday party which was fitting for the occasion.  It was so neat to be able to see all that old footage from when I was just barely learning to crawl, after Courtney was first born and some of our childhood.  Sweet, sweet memories.
We grilled hamburgers and hotdogs and then had cupcakes and oreo truffles that I made to look like apples to go with the school theme.  Pa-Pa & Me-Ma, Mimi, Courtney, Josh & Hayes were there to celebrate with us (Hudson was at Nana & Pa's in Oklahoma). :-)

My big Kindergartner.  Mommy taught him how to climb in the door jam like I used to when I was little. :-)

Cross Church Kindergarten Orientation

A couple of weekends ago, they had Kindergarten Orientation at church.  Collin officially graduated from the   Preschool area downstairs to the school-aged kids area upstairs.  He was super excited about this big move and has loved it the last two weeks.  He says it is so much fun and SO cool.  The parents were able to present their children with a new bible during the orientation.  We let Collin pick his out and he was so proud of it.  I pray he studies and learns so much from it and keeps God's word on his mind and heart at all times.
Love you big guy!

Mini-Vacation in Little Rock

The first few days of August, Josh had a convention to attend in Little Rock, so the boys and I tagged along and had some fun of our own while daddy was gone each day.  We were able to spend some time with our great friend Mickey and her daughter Jessica.  We then did some shopping, went downtown to the Museum of Discovery and swam a lot at the hotel pool.  The boys had so much fun on our little mini-getaway. :-)

The boys were so excited to spend the night at the hotel.

Carter found a mask he wanted....

The Museum of Discovery was such a neat place.  The boys loved it so much we stayed for 2 1/2 hours!  I couldn't get them to leave.  They had tons of science stuff, experiments, reptiles, play areas, etc.  It was a lot of fun and we will definitely go back our next trip to Little Rock.
vacuum tubes that would suck up these little scarfs and shoot them out from the top.

The boys then found an acupuncture table and decided to try it out. :-)

They loved working these pulley systems.

Carter wanted his picture by this cow b/c is reminded him of Pa-Pa's cows.

Carter loved this stage and dressing up in every outfit to "perform".

A tornado simulator

The boys even got to pretend to be on a tv production set. :-)

We then walked down to the river and went up on the bridge.

We purchased some snorkel gear while we were there which was a huge hit at the pool.

Mickey's granddaughter January played with the boys our last day there.
