Funny Friday!!

It's been a long while since I did a "Funny Friday" post.  I have a few this week, so here goes....

I overheard the boys talking one day in the playroom.  Collin says, "Carter, do you know what to do if a bad guy tries to take you?"  Carter sat silent for a few moments and then Collin says, "You kick him in the private and call 911!".  I guess all those ninja cartoons are rubbing off on them. :-)

I was laying in bed with Carter one morning and I said to him, "Carter, I just love to lay here and cuddle with you. "  His response...."I love to lay here and toot on you. "  Boys....

Today in the car, Carter says, "Mom, did you know that Mars is the red planet?".  I was a little shocked and said, "Wow Carter!  How did you know that?".  He said, "I just did.  My brain tells me things like that.".

Happy 34th Birthday Josh!

Josh turned 34 on the 8th.  We celebrated the night before because Josh and I were invited to an out of town event for the weekend.  Josh's parents came over and we had a simple dinner and got Subway and then indulged in some cake.  The boys wanted to pick out their own gifts for Josh, so Carter ended up picking out Batman pajama pants (go figure) and Collin got dad a Star Wars shirt.  They were so proud. :-)

Happy Birthday to an amazing husband and even more amazing father.  We love you!

100th Day of School!

Collin made it to his first 100th day of school!  They had a cookie cake and made little snack bags with 100 things in them.  He also made a headband and necklace (which he is wearing in the pic) that said, "I am 100 Days Smarter").   

Happy 10th Birthday Lexi!!

Our sweet Lexi turned 10 today!  Hard to believe 10 years have almost gone by since we first laid eyes on our sweet girl.  A lot of work goes into having a pet, but I couldn't picture our little family any other way.  She is definitely a great dog and Collin & Carter love her too.  She runs around and plays with them all the time, but definitely tries to stay out of the way when they are swordfighting, etc.  Looking back at these pictures that first year we had her definitely made me smile.  She is a loyal and faithful friend.  We love you Lexi Lou!!

Bye Uncle Joe :-(

Uncle Joe left to go back to West Virginia today for work.  We were sad to see him go, but so glad we were able to spend time/have fun with him over the holidays.  We went to have lunch with daddy in Fayetteville before taking Joe to the airport.  On our way to the airport, Collin says from the backseat, "Mom, I wish Uncle Joe's flight would get cancelled so he could just stay here."  I'm sure that killed Uncle Joe to hear, but the boys just love him so much.  We dropped him off and the boys were yelling, "We Love You Uncle Joe!!!" out the window as he walked away. :-)
