My life with boys......

I am so blessed to have 2 adorable little boys. I'm so looking forward to all the fun we are going to have together as they grow and become more interactive with each other and get involved in all kinds of sports. Collin is such a joy to watch on a daily basis and is such a little comedian! We laugh at him everyday, and I really need to start keeping better track of all his stories. Carter is growing like crazy and is getting chubbier every day. I'm going to post some pics soon of him at 5 months. Hopefully I will get them on here before he turns 6 months on 10/7! Here are a few of the latest "Collin Stories".......

We are still working on potty training Collin, so a couple of weeks ago, I took him to the bathroom and while he was sitting on the potty, he looked down at his "thing" and gave me this serious look and said, "Mommy, it's not an elephant, it's a pee-pee.". I replied, "Yes it is Collin, it looks like an elephant trunk, but you're right, it is a pee-pee." Classic.

The other night we heard Collin yelling for us in his room. Anytime he gets hurt he always wants us to kiss whatever he hurt, so when Josh went into his room to check on him, he was holding his finger up. It was dark, but Josh thought he had probably just hurt his finger and bent down to give his finger a kiss. Low and behold, he didn't hurt his finger he had a booger on it! AAHH!! Josh didn't think it was as funny as I did. Collin said, "Daddy! It's a booger!". I bet Josh will be more careful next time.

Well, that's all I can think of for now. Hopefully I will have time this weekend to get some pictures up. Have a great weekend!

Busy Weekend

We had a very busy Labor Day weekend. Friday morning Josh and I left for Hot Springs because Josh's college roommate, Shane, was getting married and Josh was a groomsman. We stayed in Hot Springs on Friday night and the wedding was Saturday morning. My mom graciously watched the boys for us and had a great time. Luckily, they were really good for her! Sunday, Josh's parents came over, went to church with us and spent the day. Our good friends, BJ & Wendy moved back from San Diego, so they came over on Sunday night as well. We are so excited to have them back!! Yesterday, Courtney, Josh & Hudson came over as well as BJ & Wendy again. We had dinner together and then ended the night with a game of bowling. It was a great weekend!!

This is Anthony Chapel in Hot Springs at the Garvan Woodland Gardens. It's where Shane & Christi got married this weekend.

I love flowers, so I really enjoyed all the beautiful arrangements at the ceremony.

The yummy cake....mmmm...

Congratulations Shane & Christi! (notice Shane is still carrying his favorite beverage....Mtn. Dew....ha!)

Josh & I walked around the Garven Gardens after the ceremony. It is absolutely beautiful and I definitely recommend checking it out. I'm excited about hopefully going there next spring when my favorite, the tulips, are blooming. They said that there are over 94,000 tulip bulbs in the spring! Wow!

Here's my sweet nephew Hudson with Carter. They really like looking at each other. It's so cute! Can't wait until they can really get around and play together!

Here are the bowling pictures.....
Aren't these shoes just the sweetest? Collin is old enough now that he gets to wear his own bowling shoes.

I love this picture! Collin is really showing his form by kicking his leg behind him like the professionals! ha! He just cracks me up. He absolutely LOVES bowling, so we had to get him his own lane to use last night since he doesn't really like to wait his turn. As soon as we walked into the alley, he said, "I need my orange ball!" His excitement about it all is so contagious.

Carter enjoyed watching us all. Can't wait until next year when he can bowl with us!

Collin's final scores

Had to get his picture in front of all the bowling balls because it was so colorful. He was counting how many there were and getting so excited.

The 3 Little Pigs

Collin insisted that we all wear this pig nose today. Kinda scary how natural it looks on me huh?

This little piggy went "Wee, Wee, Wee..."...more like "Waa, Waa, Waa!!!". He didn't like it so much. Collin said, "Mommy, Carter's not so happy."

Ready for the PGA tour?

O.k., I admit it....I brag on my kids a lot, but doesn't everyone??
Collin is already an amazing golfer! He was outside with me the other day & I was blown away by how well he made contact with the ball almost every time. He was hitting it really far too! As Collin put it, "I golf really high mommy!" Maybe he'll let daddy be his caddy someday.
Watch out Tiger!

Check out that form!

Bible Stories

No pictures with this post. Just a cute story I had to tell about Collin. I am so thankful for our kids' ministry at church (The Church at Pinnacle Hills). My sweet boy came home tonight talking about "Albert, Eshach & Abednego" (aka...Shadrach, Meshack & Abednego). When I asked him about Jesus he said, "Jesus didn't get burned". He is just so precious. It just touched my heart so much and made me so thankful for our great church and the love and ministry that they put into our children. I think he likes Abednego the most because he kept yelling his name tonight. :-)

Friday night fun

We had my mom & dad and sister & nephew over last night for my mom's birthday. We enjoyed a fun Friday night with some great food.

Here is Collin showing his latest trick.....a somersault!!

Since Collin is the expert now, here he is trying to teach Pa-Pa how to do one. It was so funny. We were worried Pa-Pa was going to break his neck!

So Sweet.

My Little Artist

Collin loves to fingerpaint. We've been learning about the letter "A" this week, so I decided to let him paint the letter "A" today. He was pretty excited. I'm hoping he has his dad's artistic ability because I have slim to none.
Yeah, I know....you all are thinking, "This girl is crazy!", but it works really well outside with the garden hose to hose him down after he's done.

The Masterpiece

This was him today acting like he was a tiger.

Collin is very meticulous with his toys. I had to take a picture of this scene I found in his room today. It cracked me up that he had the big cows eating the big hay bales and the little calves eating the smaller bale. He loves to play with his farm animals. A sweet little lady, Bonnie, in our hometown made the yellow hay for him. Aren't they cute?

The very important farm equipment.
