The 3 Little Pigs

Collin insisted that we all wear this pig nose today. Kinda scary how natural it looks on me huh?

This little piggy went "Wee, Wee, Wee..."...more like "Waa, Waa, Waa!!!". He didn't like it so much. Collin said, "Mommy, Carter's not so happy."

Ready for the PGA tour?

O.k., I admit it....I brag on my kids a lot, but doesn't everyone??
Collin is already an amazing golfer! He was outside with me the other day & I was blown away by how well he made contact with the ball almost every time. He was hitting it really far too! As Collin put it, "I golf really high mommy!" Maybe he'll let daddy be his caddy someday.
Watch out Tiger!

Check out that form!

Bible Stories

No pictures with this post. Just a cute story I had to tell about Collin. I am so thankful for our kids' ministry at church (The Church at Pinnacle Hills). My sweet boy came home tonight talking about "Albert, Eshach & Abednego" (aka...Shadrach, Meshack & Abednego). When I asked him about Jesus he said, "Jesus didn't get burned". He is just so precious. It just touched my heart so much and made me so thankful for our great church and the love and ministry that they put into our children. I think he likes Abednego the most because he kept yelling his name tonight. :-)

Friday night fun

We had my mom & dad and sister & nephew over last night for my mom's birthday. We enjoyed a fun Friday night with some great food.

Here is Collin showing his latest trick.....a somersault!!

Since Collin is the expert now, here he is trying to teach Pa-Pa how to do one. It was so funny. We were worried Pa-Pa was going to break his neck!

So Sweet.

My Little Artist

Collin loves to fingerpaint. We've been learning about the letter "A" this week, so I decided to let him paint the letter "A" today. He was pretty excited. I'm hoping he has his dad's artistic ability because I have slim to none.
Yeah, I know....you all are thinking, "This girl is crazy!", but it works really well outside with the garden hose to hose him down after he's done.

The Masterpiece

This was him today acting like he was a tiger.

Collin is very meticulous with his toys. I had to take a picture of this scene I found in his room today. It cracked me up that he had the big cows eating the big hay bales and the little calves eating the smaller bale. He loves to play with his farm animals. A sweet little lady, Bonnie, in our hometown made the yellow hay for him. Aren't they cute?

The very important farm equipment.

4 Months Old!

I can't believe my "little" man is already 4 months old! It seems like time goes by sooo much faster with the 2nd child! Carter is such a little joy. We took him to the doctor this week and he already weighs 17 lbs and is 25 1/2 in. long!!
We can already tell he's going to have a little bit quieter personality than his big brother Collin. He has been such a good baby. He started sleeping through the night right at 3 months and usually sleeps from 9 p.m. till 6 or 7 a.m. in the morning. We are soooo blessed that both our kids love their sleep! He and Collin usually nap for a couple (sometimes more) hours each afternoon at the same time too! Gives me a good "break" to get things done around the house. I don't know how I juggled it all when I worked at the bank.
Carter is rolling over like crazy now and we love to make him laugh. Collin likes it when he laughs too. He thinks Carter is laughing/smiling at him. It's so neat to begin to watch them interract together. Anyways, here are some pictures of my 4 month old Carter.

Love those dimples!

My photography assistant, Collin, trying to get Carter to smile by showing him his toy rubber chicken.

This shirt says it all.......check out those biceps ladies! 17 lbs of pure muscle!

He is chewing on his hands like crazy now!

Fish Fest 2009

Collin always loves to go to the creek at my mom & dad's farm. We went over there last weekend so Collin could get in a little fishing. He was more interested in throwing rocks into the creek to scare the fish away than he was at holding his fishing pole and trying to catch a fish of his own. He got really excited when daddy caught some though and always wanted to hold the fish for just a little bit. He would then yell, "Throw it back in the ocean daddy!". I think the final count was 8 fish, but who's counting when you're having a great time watching a 2 year old's excitement? Can't wait for Carter to join in the fun next year!
